The Ask
The client wanted an educational application for students ranging from 8 years old up to high school (Terminale). The app is already adopted by three of the largest schools in Paris, including Stanislas. The goal was to create a platform that supports learning across all subjects through AI-driven guidance and gamification. Features included: quick questions, lessons derived from images, simple image-based corrections, definitions extracted from images, guided exercise corrections, quizzes, and comprehensive evaluations — all image-based.

WHAT I BUILT
To meet these requirements, we implemented a robust and scalable backend on AWS using a hexagonal architecture, Postgres, TypeScript, and Supertest. We developed a frontend for the back office, enabling schools to manage students and providing a dedicated workspace for prompt engineers to create, test, and deploy custom AI prompts, fully configurable and testable.
